Greetings to our neighbors, present and future!
Prosperity Heights is a Community Parking District encompassing 208 single family homes in Northern Virginia.
The homes in Prosperity Heights were built in the late 1970s, early 1980s.

PICK-UP SCHEDULE.

TUESDAY:  WILL BE TRASH PICK-UP AS USUAL. HOWEVER YARD WASTE WILL BE WEDNESDAY
WEDNESDAY:  WILL BE RECYCLE PICK-UP AS USUAL,
WITH AN ADDITIONAL, SEPARATE PICK-UP FOR YARD WASTE.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR CONTAINERS ARE MARKED CLEARLY.

Trash Service
Serviced weekly on Tuesdays Trash should be set out the night before service, and no
later than 6:00 a.m. on the scheduled service day set at the curb or designated area.

Recycling Service
Serviced weekly on Wednesdays. Recycling should be set out the night before
and no later than 6:00 a.m. on the scheduled service day set at the curb or designated
area as mutually agreed upon by both parties. Recycling materials deemed accepted
and/or mandated by the County/City/Municipality and the recycling processors, be
collected. (see Fairfax County Recycling Guidelines:

Please DO NOT place recycling in plastic bags. We utilize a single stream
recycle process, all items to be placed loose in container.

Yard waste
Serviced weekly on Wednesdays. Yard-waste should be set out the night before,
and no later than 6:00 a.m. on the scheduled service day and set at the curb or
designated area as mutually agreed upon. Weekly removal of up to ten (10) individual
paper bags, personal marked containers, or bundles(tied up) per collection day, per resident. Brush may be limited to individual pieces or bundles (tied up) of no greater than fifty (50) pounds in weight, four (4) feet in length, and no piece larger than six (6) inches in diameter.Yard-waste includes leaves, grass or brush in a separate container (reusable container or paper bag). Yard waste does not include any materials arising from tree removal, land clearing, or development activities (i.e.- hired landscaping contractors).

Christmas tree collection will be provided to all homeowners during the 1st two weeks in the month of January. All trees over 8 feet in length will need to be cut in half and free of ornaments and tinsel/garland before being placed at the curb.

Yard waste season is from 03/01 until 12/24.

Excluded wastes
Rocks, concrete, dirt, tires, soil, sod, tree stumps, paint, motor oil, combustibles, toxic or hazardous wastes, or any other material excluded from the disposal site, or any applicable state or federal law, as being deemed special, hazardous or toxic wastes.  Additionally, flammable products, dead animals, fecal matter, manure, brick, landscaping timbers, friable asbestos, lead acid/ wet cell batteries, bio-hazardous material, needles, and other medical waste. Contractor generated materials, construction and demolition materials, automotive parts/tires/rims, disaster relief debris, exempt or hazardous wastes will not be collected.
